January - Education Month

It’s been a fun month since my week with the BBC going around the country running various workshops. I ran my first workshop for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain in Corbridge last week, which was really fun (even though the children have to fill in feedback forms on the session immediately afterwards!). I’m back with NYCGB in the North East next week again.

I then went to Atlantic College to lead a big sing of a song in Welsh (!), followed by hearing the King’s Singers in the evening. It was a treat to hear those boys up close for the first time. Atlantic College is also an extraordinary place with some really interesting, entrepreneurial and polite students.

I’m also joining the BBC singers again this Friday for an education workshop in my native Essex. This week will end with joining the Chamber Choir of London for their concerts in the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday afternoon and evening.

All this alongside beginning to prepare Chilcott’s St. John Passion with my choirs in London, and my consort choir are singing for Candlemass in Kennington on Sunday morning.

Thanks to everyone for your nice messages and my new students who are booking nicely through this website.
